Since your post has been flaired as "Recommendation request", I want to suggest editing your post to add in these details (if you haven't included them yet): Thank you for your submission to r/rpg_gamers. The inspiration for this post came from me watching Iron Pineapple's Steam Dumpster Diving series, where he tries out soulslikes 'you've probably never heard of' and exposed me to a flawed but fun gem called Inferno Climber, by ArcSystemWorks (Yes, THAT ArcSystemWorks) that completely passed under my radar until then, and it got me wondering how many other interesting games I've possibly missed out on.

Still, feel free to throw any and all recommendations at me, since it's always possible that I missed one that you would think is obvious.
#PROJARED VAGRANT STORY PC#
Only thing I ask is no mobile phone game recommendations I do not have a mobile phone, nor ever plan to, really (yeah, go ahead, call me an old fogey they're expensive for substandard hardware, and I'm not out and about enough to warrant the need for a computer in my pocket, either), and I'm not interested in fiddling with Bluestacks or similar to try and run them off PC directly. all the well-known and semi-well-known ones from the past three decades, I've probably played, or saw enough of that I wasn't interested (I mean, is anyone actually interested in playing Super Hydlide? No thanks, I'll leave that suffering to ProJared). I've played a lot of everything when it comes to the older consoles and PC, and much of what has been released since from games like Hydlide and Dragon Warrior through the Final Fantasies and beyond every Phantasy Star, every Shining Force, Warriors of the Eternal Sun, Crusader of Centy, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire, Megaman Legends, Mass Effect, Vagrant Story, KOTOR. but my first game ever played was either Frogger on the Atari 2400 (Zellers-specific release of the Atari 2600) or Number Munchers for the Apple ][e by MECC (the same people that gave us Oregon Trail), to give an idea of how long I've been gaming for. The jobs have also been adjusted to make all of them equally useful and the capacity points have been modified. My first game system was NES, and my first game on it was the Super Mario/Duck Hunt combo cartridge. The characters also have genders and names: Luneth, Arc, Refia, and Ingus. Unlike other remakes which were merely used improved sprites and a few FMVs, the Nintendo DS remake includes completely new 3D graphics, as well as redone music.

#PROJARED VAGRANT STORY SERIES#
It was the first game in the series to use the job system (where you could change your class at will), which would be reused in Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy X-2. However, Final Fantasy III was not released in the US until 2006 when it was ported to the Nintendo DS. It introduced many characters, monsters, and concepts that would become standard in the Final Fantasy series. It was developed and published by Square and released exclusively in Japan in 1990 for the NES. For the North American SNES game, see Final Fantasy VI.įinal Fantasy III is a RPG and the third game in the Final Fantasy series. This guide is for the game that was originally a Japanese-exclusive NES game.
